The Shiv Sena, under the leadership of Eknath Shinde, has extended its unwavering support to the ongoing protest (Dharna) by the MCD Swachhta Delhi Karamchari Sangh against Delhi Government in Civil Lines here today. The party’s senior leaders, Shri Anshumman Joshi and Delhi Unit Incharge Col Devinder Sehrawat, along with a large number of party workers, joined the protestors, demonstrating their solidarity with their cause. In a strong show of unity, they also sat on the dharna.

Led by Shri Ravi Oswal, President of Delhi Safai Karamchari Union, MCD Swachhta Delhi Karamchari Sangh’s protest highlights the grievances and demands of the dedicated sanitation workers who tirelessly contribute to keeping the city clean. The Shiv Sena recognizes their invaluable services and the challenges they face in fulfilling their duties effectively.

Speaking about the party’s support for the protest, Shri Anshumman Joshi, the senior leader of the Shiv Sena, expressed his solidarity, saying, “The sanitation workers play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our cities. Their relentless efforts deserve our utmost respect and support. We stand firmly with the MCD Swachhta Delhi Karamchari Sangh in their pursuit of fair treatment, better working conditions, and the fulfillment of their legitimate demands. Shiv Sena would support them in every possible manner till their demands are met by the Delhi government.”

The party urged that the concerns of these hardworking individuals are addressed and resolved promptly. “We urge the authorities to engage in a meaningful dialogue to find an amicable solution,” added Shri Joshi.

Col Devinder Sehrawat, the Delhi Unit Incharge of the Shiv Sena, emphasized the party’s commitment to the welfare of the sanitation workers, stating, “The Shiv Sena stands united with the MCD Swachhta Delhi Karamchari Sangh in their struggle for fair wages, permanent jobs, better working conditions, and improved facilities. We are determined to fight for their rights and ensure their voices are heard.”

Shri Ravi Oswal highlighted the pain points of Safai Karamchari and said that even after several decades of service, a large number of karamcharis are still temporary and have not been given permanent jobs. Jobs are not given on compassionate grounds to the deceased worker of the department. Oswal said that the Union would organize an indefinite fast at MCD Headquarters Civic Centre on July 7. Safai Karamchari Union also criticized the ad-hoc and outsourcing policies (Giving away streets to private companies for safai) of the government.

The Shiv Sena’s presence and participation in the ongoing protest send a powerful message of solidarity and support to the MCD Swachhta Delhi Karamchari Sangh. The party remains committed to championing the cause of sanitation workers and striving for a fair and dignified working environment for them.
