BitMine Immersion Technologies (NYSE: BMNR), the world’s largest publicly disclosed Ethereum treasury holder, has announced plans to deploy its proprietary Made in America Validator Network (MAVAN) in early 2026. This U.S.-based staking infrastructure will enable the company to stake a significant portion of its over 4.1 million ETH holdings—valued at approximately $12 billion—to generate yields while participating in Ethereum’s proof-of-stake consensus.
Currently, BitMine has already staked over 408,000 ETH (~$1.2 billion) with third-party providers as part of MAVAN testing. At full scale, Chairman Thomas “Tom” Lee projects annual staking rewards of around $374 million (over $1 million per day), based on current Composite Ethereum Staking Rates of ~2.81%. These rewards depend on validator performance, network conditions, and ETH prices.
MAVAN represents a shift for BitMine from passive ETH accumulation to active monetization. The network emphasizes domestic infrastructure for enhanced security, regulatory compliance, and reduced cross-border risks amid tightening U.S. regulations. By operating validators in the U.S., BitMine aims to add geographic diversity to Ethereum’s validator set.
Benefits for the Ethereum Ecosystem:
– Increased decentralization through greater U.S.-based validation.
– Potential improvements in network security and stability.
– However, critics note risks of centralization, as BitMine controls ~3.4% of ETH supply, potentially influencing compliance with sanctions.
For BitMine shareholders, MAVAN could transform the company’s treasury into a yield-generating asset, supporting long-term value and potential dividends. The initiative aligns with Ethereum’s ongoing upgrades, positioning BitMine as a major institutional player.
As 2026 approaches, this development underscores growing corporate adoption of Ethereum staking. Investors should monitor execution risks, yield fluctuations, and regulatory impacts closely.
