Sad And Shocking That Sonu Nigam Was Attacked: Mika Singh

Singer Mika Singh along with many other condemn the act of violence committed against singer Sonu Nigam during a performance.

Sonu Nigam and his two colleagues were pushed allegedly by the son of an MLA during a scuffle over clicking a selfie with the singer at a musical event in Mumbai.

Sonu Nigam was rushed to hospital, where he received treatment and later filed a complaint against his assailant. After the incident, some of people from fraternity condemn the violence while other slammed the media houses for running false news to smear the name of singer.

Singer Mika Singh took to his social media and tweeted, “It’s Very sad & shocking hear that respected singer #SonuNigam was attacked, that too in MUMBAI”

While singer Aditi Singh Sharma slammed the portals for smearing his name, she tweeted, “The person who ‘fell’ that she is referring to is ridiculous – 2 of #sonunigam’s team members were so aggressively PUSHED down from stage!! Everyone has watched the video & it is shocking after how cruelly one acts, the recreation of the same incident seems to be so deceiving”

The person has been identified as Swapnil Phaterpekar, who approached Sonu for a selfie on stage, but the whole turned into pushing and shoving, putting two person off stage, and into the stand.

Suprada Phaterpekar, the sister of the accused, has issued an apology.
