The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially postponed the NEET PG 2025 exam until further notice. The decision comes following a Supreme Court directive instructing that the examination be conducted in a single shift instead of multiple shifts.
The NEET PG exam was initially scheduled for June 15, 2025, but NBEMS announced that new dates will be released shortly. The shift to a single-session exam format has led to the need for revised logistical arrangements, including the allocation of additional exam centers across the country.
NBEMS said that fresh dates for the examination, city information slips, and admit cards will be announced soon on their official website: www.nbe.edu.in. All registered candidates are advised to regularly check the website for updates.
NEET PG is a crucial entrance exam for postgraduate medical programs like MD, MS, and PG diploma courses in India. Admission is granted through 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats managed by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), and the remaining seats are filled through state-level counseling authorities.
The Supreme Court mandated the exam to be held in a single shift to ensure fairness and uniformity for all candidates. Once the new schedule is released, details regarding hall tickets and other related instructions will be made available on the NBEMS website.
Stay tuned for further announcements.
