Bitcoin Faces Resistance, but Institutional Bulls Are Betting Big!
Bitcoin has been battling to break past the $100,000 barrier since early February, with global trade tensions impacting its price. Despite the hurdles, ARK Invest CEO Cathie Wood remains highly optimistic, predicting Bitcoin could skyrocket to $1.5 million by 2030.
Wood attributes this massive growth projection to rising institutional adoption, which she believes will establish Bitcoin as a mainstream asset class. She suggests that increasing demand from institutions could push Bitcoin’s price significantly higher, especially as its risk-reward profile differentiates further from traditional assets.
ARK Invest’s Bold Forecast: Where Could Bitcoin Be by 2030?
In its Big Ideas 2025 report, ARK Invest presents three possible scenarios for Bitcoin’s price trajectory:
🚀 Bullish Case: If Bitcoin maintains a 58% compound annual growth rate (CAGR), it could hit $1.5 million by 2030.
📈 Moderate Growth: A 40% CAGR would still push it up to $710,000.
🔽 Conservative Estimate: Even with a 21% CAGR, Bitcoin could reach $300,000 by the end of the decade.
$100K Resistance – Can Bitcoin Break Through?
Currently, Bitcoin is hovering below $100,000, facing significant resistance at this psychological level.
Analysts like Iliya Kalchev (Nexo) argue that Bitcoin must surpass $100K to prevent selling pressure.
Failure to break through could result in a pullback to $95,000.
However, a “supply shock” could trigger a price surge, as only 2.5 million BTC are available on exchanges. If buyer demand spikes, Bitcoin could see a powerful breakout.
Market Volatility & Institutional Confidence
The past 24 hours have seen $66 million worth of Bitcoin liquidated, highlighting ongoing market volatility.
Short-term uncertainty continues, but long-term optimism remains strong, thanks to growing institutional interest.
Bitcoin is currently trading just above $95,000, reflecting both resilience and ongoing market pressures.
As institutional investors increasingly view Bitcoin as a strategic diversification tool, and with supply constraints tightening, many experts anticipate explosive long-term growth. While volatility remains, Bitcoin’s journey toward new record highs remains an exciting prospect for investors worldwide.
