On 20-24 August 2023, the full-time part of the BRICS Business Incubator International Acceleration Program will take place in Omsk. More than 100 entrepreneurs, investors and representatives of business associations from the BRICS countries as well as from the Central Asian region will participate in the BRICS Business Incubator full-time program.
The main organizers of the event are the Government of the Omsk Region, Omsk State Technical University and ANO “Leaders of International Cooperation”.
Sharmishtha Ghosh, Founder MD, INTANDEM GLOBAL CONSULTING PVT. LTD. and BRICS CCI Governing Body Member said “such forums help in fostering a conducive environment between the business communities. While the funds are very important, co-operation, mentoring and collective growth are the most important take aways”.
Sharmishtha is amongst the winners of the program alone with 25 from the 5 BRICS nations
“Holding a business incubator in Omsk on the grounds of the technical university will attract young talented entrepreneurs to solve important socially important and economic issues, facilitate the establishment of contacts with major investors, as well as strengthen the international partnership of our region with the BRICS countries,” — commented Rector of OmSTU, Dmitriy Mayevsky. He also emphasized that the uniqueness of the project lies in its scale, as well as its practical and strategic significance for entrepreneurs and business communities of the countries.
Participants will present their projects to investors from large and private investment organizations and funds from BRICS countries in such areas as innovation and high technology, IT infrastructure and web development, transport and logistics, consulting, e-commerce, education, healthcare and social services, food industry, hospitality and others.
“The BRICS Business Incubator is a unique program that is essential to supporting entrepreneurs seeking international expansion. The program will become an entry point for domestic entrepreneurs to foreign markets, as well as help colleagues from BRICS countries to launch businesses in Russia. The projects of the Business Incubator winners will undoubtedly become breakthroughs in their industries and change the market,” — stated Rim Khasanov, an expert of the BRICS Business Incubator and President of the ANO “Eurasian Investment Agency”.
“Participation in the BRICS Business Incubator will allow us to find new partners and project opportunities abroad. With the team, we are eager to enter new markets and will be happy to work specifically with BRICS countries. We forecast signing agreements with new partners, as well as making useful connections,” — said Andrey Kostylev, the winner of the BRICS Business Incubator from Russia, founder of Labmein medical technology project.
An important component of the business incubator in 2023 will be the invitation to the cooperation of large and private investment organizations and funds from the BRICS countries, thanks to which at least 70% of the participants’ projects will be financed. Numerous cooperation agreements and investment contracts will be signed following the results of the BRICS Business Incubator.
“BRICS markets are among the most promising in terms of growth and potential, so now we are actively looking for projects in this direction,” — noted Evgeny Larionov, an investor of the BRICS Business Incubator and a member of the Board of Directors of the Dome Foundation Investment Club.
It is planned that the full-time program of the business incubator will also include excursions to the leading enterprises of the Omsk region, many pitch sessions and workshops.
Noteworthy, in June the organizers of BRICS Business Incubator received grant support from Rosmolodezh within the All-Russian Youth Project Competition. The partners of the program are ANO “Eurasian Investment Agency”, Yandex.Cloud, TV BRICS, Dome Foundation Investment Club, an International Company “Consult Invest ITIC”, BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry, China Technology Transfer Center of the SCO member states and others.
