Addressing the first meeting of the Hindi Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh emphasized the growing importance of Hindi as a pan-Indian language and its role in scientific communication.
He highlighted the integration of AI-driven translation tools to enhance dissemination and interpretation of Hindi content, ensuring scientific knowledge reaches a wider audience. Dr. Singh urged all Ministries to make their websites fully accessible in Hindi and announced recognition for employees excelling in its use.
Stressing linguistic diversity, he also underlined the promotion of regional languages alongside Hindi for innovation and nation-building. The UGC is supporting Hindi-based tools to strengthen scientific communication.
Committee members suggested increasing Hindi use in departmental proceedings, social media outreach, and dissemination of scientific content.
